  Chancé has been my vocal instructor for about a year and a half. She has been instrumental in my improvement. She is everything a good teacher should be: patient, persistent,  positive, and fun.   My 3 kids and I have been with Dark Mountain Music for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it! I'm always referring friends so I figured it's about time I left a review! lol The instructor is amazing and makes each lesson engaging and enjoyable. We take singing, piano and guitar lessons. Plus most recently music production. It's great that we can add or change instruments as we go without having to change studios or companies etc.. because they teach them all here. I also like that he comes to us for lessons instead of me having to drag my kids around. Super convenient that way. I've heard from many friends who are with other companies, that their younger kids don't enjoy piano lessons cause they're forced to work on classical music, but you get to play what you love here. You pick the songs to work on. Like my boys are learning video game music and current alternative music. Which is really cool to see and hear converted to the piano. Meet Leili, a producer and music teacher based in Edmonton, Alberta. Leili boasts over two years of teaching expertise, mainly as a singing and violin instructor. Her musical path began with a classical music degree in high school, but she quickly discovered her passion for jazz and singing. Leili is currently immersed in the lively environment of MacEwan University. There she is studying Recording and Production and pursuing her passion for vocals. Beyond the textbooks, Leili is a down-to-earth instructor who fosters a supportive environment for her pupils. She encourages them to discover their own musical voices. Yingying (Katrina)

Yingying (Katrina) Wei is a highly skilled pianist and dedicated music educator. With an impressive Level 9 Central Conservatory of Music in Piano qualification, equivalent to Level 10 RCM, Katrina possesses a deep understanding of classical and contemporary music styles. She has over a year of full-time experience teaching piano and theory to students of all ages and levels. From guiding beginners through their first notes to preparing advanced students for grade exams and on-stage performances, Katrina demonstrates a versatile teaching approach. Cam

Cam Steele is a teacher, performer, and composer in Edmonton. He performs regularly in Edmonton in various contemporary styles from rock, blues, jazz, RnB, funk, and popular music. Cam also plays as a solo guitarist inspired by great fingerstyle players and classical repertoire. Cam values teaching music as a language and creates a space where students start making music within their first lesson. Cam also offers instruction in music technology, electronic production, songwriting, and orchestration. Lessons with Cam are constructed around learning how to really play the music students want to do!
Cam holds a Music Diploma and a Bachelor of Music Composition from MacEwan University, and is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education from the University of Alberta.

Evelyn

Evelyn Marie Schaffer (She/Her) is an accomplished Soprano known for her international performances in Hungary, Austria, and France, specializing in art songs and opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus and continues to hone her craft through private vocal training and ongoing studies in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at Concordia University of Edmonton. Evelyn's talent has earned her awards, including the prestigious Wirth Institute scholarship, and she brings her classical training to life in diverse roles on both opera and theatre stages.

Chelsea

Chelsea is a highly accomplished music educator with an impressive 20-year piano teaching career, located in Edmonton. Hello! My name is Lyra (like lyr-ics). I have been a songwriter and artist since I was twelve and have released two studio albums to date. I am currently working on my third album. Having gigged, recorded, produced, and written music for over a decade and am delighted to expand my musical horizons by teaching students of all ages. I have studied voice and classical piano throughout my life and am always looking forward to igniting the spark of music into the hearts of others. I believe that music is the natural healer in life, no matter what age or experience someone has. My teaching philosophy is centred around joy, positive reinforcement and building encouraging rapport with all my students. I am also currently studying Journalism/Communications at MacEwan University. In my spare time, I am a professional dog trainer and an avid swimmer.
