faq

Can you accommodate different skill levels, from beginners to advanced players?

Absolutely! At Dark Mountain Music, we’re thrilled to teach students of any age or skill level, whether you’re just starting or a seasoned pro.

Everyone has something to learn! Our aim is to offer personalized instruction for every student, regardless of their skill level. We tailor to YOUR unique learning needs and goals. We see music as a lifelong journey of discovery and growth, and we’re excited to accompany you every step of the way.

Do you offer group bass lessons or only private instruction?

As of now, our school solely focuses on providing private lessons. While we understand there are some benefits to group instruction, we prioritize the individual and find that a tailored lesson plan always provides the best outcomes. This way we can effectively address your specific challenges, refine techniques, and work on the music YOU want to work on. We believe that this personalized approach ensures a more enriching and effective learning experience for our students.

How long will it take for me to play bass guitar well?

The time it takes to become a top-tier bassist can vary and depends on several factors including your natural aptitude for music and the amount of time you dedicate to your practice. With consistent practice and focus, many people can start playing simple bass lines and songs within a couple of months. However, to truly master the instrument, it can take several years of dedicated practice and guidance.

Simply put, you get what you put in! With hard work, dedication, and patience, anyone can steadily progress and achieve their goals.

What is the structure of your lessons? Do you follow a curriculum or customize each lesson?

Our bass lessons are all about having fun and getting inspired while working towards your musical goals. We focus on what you want to learn, not a rigid curriculum. Every lesson is personalized to match your interests, how you learn, and where you’re at skill-wise, keeping you pumped about your progress! Whether you want to jam out to your favourite tunes, improvise, or nail down specific techniques, we’ll craft a plan together to help you succeed.
