faq

Do I need to own a drum set before starting lessons?

For in-home or online lessons, owning a drum set is required, as our instructors don’t travel with kits. However, if you’re taking lessons at the instructor’s studio, it’s highly recommended to have one for practice between sessions. We’re here to assist you in finding affordable options for purchase or rental to suit your needs and budget.

Can I choose the style of drumming I want to learn?

Absolutely! We encourage students to explore a wide variety of drumming styles, including rock, jazz, funk, blues, Latin, and more. Our instructors are skilled in teaching a wide range of genres and will customize the curriculum to align with your musical interests and goals.

Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, we’re dedicated to helping you excel in your chosen style of drumming. Feel free to choose the genre that inspires you, and we’ll support you every step of the way on your drumming journey!

Do I need any prior musical experience to start drum lessons?

No prior musical experience is needed to start drum lessons with us. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have never played an instrument before, our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics of rhythm, coordination, and technique at your own pace. With our clear instruction and support, we can help students of all ages and skill levels begin their drumming journey confidently and enthusiastically.

How do I know if the drums are the right instrument for me?

When it comes to picking the right instrument for your music lessons, your passion and interest should be at the top of your list. While natural talent can be beneficial, it’s not the sole determinant of success or enjoyment in learning. With dedication, practice, and enthusiasm, anyone can develop their skills and excel at drumming. Don’t let concerns about natural talent hold you back if you feel a strong pull towards the drum kit.
