PRIVACY
At Dark Mountain Music, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
We collect and use personal information (such as your name, contact details, and payment information) solely for the purpose of providing music lessons, managing bookings, processing payments, and communicating with you.
We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share necessary information with trusted third-party service providers (such as payment processors or communication platforms) strictly for the purpose of operating our business and delivering our services.
All payments are securely processed through Stripe. Dark Mountain Music does not store full credit card details on its own systems.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.
PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION & CARD-ON-FILE
By providing your payment information, you authorize Dark Mountain Music to securely store your payment method with our payment processor and to charge that payment method for services that you request or approve.
This includes: the trial session and any ongoing coaching services, packages, or tuition plans that you agree to verbally, in writing, or through continued participation in lessons.
Following any agreement to continue coaching, Dark Mountain Music will provide a summary of the agreed-upon pricing and billing schedule via email. Unless you raise a concern prior to the scheduled charge, your payment method on file will be charged accordingly.
By continuing to participate in scheduled lessons after receiving billing details, you acknowledge and accept the associated charges. All services are provided in accordance with our Terms of Service, including policies related to scheduling, cancellations, and refunds.
INSTRUCTORS
Dark Mountain Music is committed to providing high-quality, professional instruction.
All instructors are carefully evaluated based on their education, experience, and professionalism. Instructors have completed a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and possess post-secondary music education, Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) certification, or equivalent professional experience.
All instructors engaged by Dark Mountain Music operate as independent contractors.
RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
By participating in lessons or related activities with Dark Mountain Music, you acknowledge and accept that instructors operate as independent professionals.
You agree to release and hold harmless Dark Mountain Music, its owner, and its instructors from any liability, claims, demands, damages, or actions arising from participation in music lessons or related activities, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
While Dark Mountain Music takes reasonable steps to ensure the quality and safety of instruction, all lessons are undertaken at your own risk.
SESSION RECORDINGS
Lessons may be recorded for training, quality control, and internal reference purposes. These recordings are not shared publicly or with third parties.
POLICY UPDATES
Dark Mountain Music reserves the right to update this Privacy, Payment & Liability Policy as needed. Any significant changes will be communicated via email or through our website.
By continuing to use our services after updates are made, you acknowledge and accept the revised terms.
